The man who was charged in the death of a Manitowoc County inmate late last year has been convicted.
33-year-old Jerid Hanson pleaded guilty to a charge of 1st Degree Reckless Homicide, with six other charges were dismissed but read into the record.
Hanson admitted to authorities that he had hidden heroin inside his body as he was being arrested in September of last year.
He then gave that heroin, which was laced with Fentanyl, to 36-year-old Justin Hall, who then consumed it, and died of an overdose on September 15th.
Hanson is due back in court on October 27th for his sentencing.
