The Newton Fire Department responded to a call early last evening at the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center.
Chief Tom Hockammer says the call came in about 7:15 and upon arrival crews encountered smoke inside the Center and opened doors to clear it out.
It was determined that the motors in the heating system were comprised due to a power outage on the south side of Manitowoc.
No structural damage was reported and no one was hurt.
