Julie Vohen, age 51, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at her residence.
Julie was born on October 3, 1969 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Sharon Hynek Grotback. Julie was a graduate of Lincoln High School. She had been employed with Holy Family Convent and later at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center. Julie enjoyed shooting pool, loved to be outside taking care of her garden and doing yardwork. She enjoyed life, music, following the Green Bay Packers, and loved her animals.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelsey Vohen and her significant other, Travis Mueller, Manitowoc; two brothers, Mark Grotback, Manitowoc and David (Katharine) Grotback, Fox Crossing; one niece, Mary Rasmussen, Union Grove; special friend, Steven O’Mann, Manitowoc; the father of her children, James Vohen, Two Rivers; along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Sharon Grotback and her brother, Scott Grotback.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Deacon Alan Boeldt. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Following the funeral services a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home. Cremation will take place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
