The Two Rivers Plan Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting for September earlier this week and held a public hearing on the creation of a proposed Tax Incremental District (TID 16).
City Manager Greg Buckley says it would encompass the former Downtown Eggers property.
Buckley told Seehafer News, “Approximately the northern third of it would be the site new storm water pond while the southern two-thirds of the property which has some nice frontage on the East Twin River is an area where the city has been pursuing development activity. We are working with a Fox Valley area developer who’s interested in doing some market rate housing-apartments or condos-on the river in that area.”
The initial investment for Phase One of the project would be an estimated $14.5 million.
