Manitowoc Lincoln High School sophomore tennis player, Olivia Minikel, remained undefeated in #1 Singles’ action following play at Saturday’s Sheboygan North Quadrangular.
The Ships went 0-2 at the meet by losing to Wauwatosa West and Plymouth by the identical score of 5-to-2.
However, Minikel breezed to straight-set victories of 6-1, 6-0, and 6-0, 6-0 in her matches.
Also going 2-0 for their team was the #1 Doubles tandem of McKenna Pleus & Hannah Dvorak. They pulled out straight wins 7-5, 6-3 against Wauwautosa West and 6-2, 6-2 versus Plymouth.
In E-W-C Girls Tennis over the weekend, Kiel edged Roncalli 4-to-3, despite Jets wins from Madison Lamers at ‘1 Singles 6-0, 6-0, and from the Doubles’ combinations of Riley Mihalakakos & Lily Buchholz and Erin Schermetzler & Ashlyn Dellemann.
The Raiders picked up wins in Singles from Abbey Moore, Kyleigh Kroll and Hannah Bolden as well as at #3 Doubles by forfeit.
