Reedsville leads the way among local and area football teams in the latest WISSPORTS Coaches Poll. The Panthers (5-&-0) are ranked 2nd in the state for Division-7, behind only Bangor.
The Division-1 portion of the poll has a new leader, Franklin, which replaces former #1 Muskego, now 4th after a loss last week. Two other area schools, Appleton North and Bay Port are 7th and 10th respectively. The Pirates fell 3 places are suffering their 1st loss of the season, a 19-15 decision to De Pere.
The D’-2 leader is Waunakee remains 1st, Pulaski is 5th and De Pere is alone at #10. Two area football teams are ranked in Division-3: Luxemburg-Casco moves up to 3rd after being #5 last week and Plymouth also advances 2-places to 5th.
The Baraboo Thunderbirds stay atop the ratings. In D-4: Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian remains 5th in the state, with Freedom checking in at #6. Catholic Memorial of Waukesha stays #1. Cedar Grove-Belgium is still 5th in Division-5, where Lake Country Lutheran is #1. No area teams are listed among the best in D-6, where Regis of Eau Claire still paces the field.
