The Door County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in trying to locate a juvenile runaway.
According to a news release from Chief Deputy Patrick McCarty, 16-year-old Sofiya J. Ackerman is a white female and is described as 5-feet-7, 130-pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.
Ackerman was last seen at her residence in Baileys Harbor on the evening of Sunday, October 3rd.
Evidence at the home indicates that Sofiya left on her own accord as she tried to conceal her leaving and whereabouts from her parents.
McCarty explained they do not have a clothing description for the teen and there are no known possible destinations.
