Lori R. Ignera, age 61, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Lori was born on March 20, 1960 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Carol Mueller Wellner Sr. Lori graduated from Reedsville High School with the class of 1978. Several years later she continued her education at Lakeshore Technical College where she received her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Lori had been employed with various health care facilities in the Manitowoc area as a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 30 years. She retired in July 2018 from Holy Family Convent. On April 23, 1988 she married Steven J. Ignera at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Whitelaw. Lori enjoyed walking her dogs Cassie and Tasha with her best friend Corinna Eberhardt. She also enjoyed traveling, shopping trips, riding on the Harley-Davison with her husband Steve, casino trips, bicycling around Manitowoc, going to rock concerts, following the Green Bay Packers, doing things and going places with her mother-in-law, Mary, and playing with her cat Smokie.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Steven, six brothers and two sisters, Robert (Shirley) Wellner, Jr., Mishicot, David Wellner, Reifs Mills, Larry Wellner, Whitelaw, Bonnie Wellner, Manitowoc, Stanley (Lora) Wellner, Brillion, Scott Wellner, rural Pulaski, Daniel Wellner and Vickie Nelsen, Kellnersville, Sarah (Paul) Schwoerer, Cato; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Ignera, Manitowoc; best friend, Corinna Eberhardt, Manitowoc; many nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Carol Wellner Sr., two sisters, Madonna Wellner and Daisey Wellner; and sister-in-law, Yvonne Wellner.
Memorial services will be held 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Dave Pleier. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services at 6 p.m. Following the memorial services a reception will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
