Robert E. Waack, age 89, of rural Manitowoc, died Thursday morning, October 7, 2021 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center in Manitowoc.
Robert was born on April 28, 1932 in the town of Newton, son of the late Arvin and Milda (Eichmann) Waack. He served during the Korean War in the U.S Army as a Radio Operator. On December 28, 1957 Robert married the former Elaine A. Stock at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church. She preceded him in death on January 28, 2016. He worked as a foreman for Invincible for 44 years until his retirement. Robert enjoyed working, animals, gardening, woodworking and yard work. He was a member of Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church.
Survivors include his ten children: Mark Waack and his special friend, Cindy Beuchel, Manitowoc, Susan Waack, Sheboygan, Michael (Terri) Waack, Newton, Mitchell (Kristin) Waack, Manitowoc, Manuel (Vicki) Waack, Newton, Shirley Waack, Manitowoc, Sharlene Behm and special friend, Cory Weber, Gibbsville, Sheila (Kevin) Leider, Valders, Martin (Mary Jo) Waack, Manitowoc, Shelly (John) Bichler, Manitowoc; sixteen grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; eighteen step-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law: Paul (Dorris) Waack, Manitowoc; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Marion Thiel, Manitowoc, Doris (Joseph) Zabler, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law: Myra Albert, Cleveland; special friends: the Luckow girls, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife: Elaine (Stock) Waack; his parents: Arvin and Milda Waack; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Alvin and Elda (Boldt) Stock; one brother and sister-in-law: Donald (Delores) Waack; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Janet (Hubert) Grunewald, Donald Thiel; four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Robert (Laverne) Stock, Raymond (Margene) Stock, Irene (John) Maala, Russell Albert, Joyce Stock.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, 6524 County Trunk C, Newton. Rev. Kyle Sorensen will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
