A second suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the physical abuse of a 7-year-old girl in Kewaunee County.
Sheriff Matt Joski says 35-year-old Dawn M. Jimenez of Luxemburg, the stepmother of the victim, is facing charges of Physical Abuse of a Child, Repeated Acts Intentionally Causing Great Bodily Harm, Chronic Neglect of a Child, and Causing Mental Harm to a Child.
The girl’s father, 33-year-old Alan T. Finch also of Luxemburg, was arrested on Tuesday on a Charge of Reckless Physical Abuse of a Child.
Additional charges filed include Repeated Acts Intentionally Causing Great Bodily Harm, Chronic Neglect of a Child, and Causing Mental Harm to a Child.
The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Office received a call Tuesday afternoon from a Medical Facility in Green Bay regarding a young female patient who was unconscious and brought in for treatment with wounds consistent with physical abuse.
She was eventually transported to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee for continued treatment where she is still listed in critical condition.
No further information is being released at this time as investigations into this incident are termed as ongoing.
Finch is being held in the Kewaunee County Jail on a $250,000 Cash bond while Jimenez is also in the County Jail awaiting a bail hearing.
