Eight local drug traffickers identified in a recent mid to upper-level drug trafficking ring in Manitowoc
County have been sentenced to a combined nearly 50 years in federal incarceration.
Metro Drug Lieutenant Dave Remiker and Sheriff Dan Hartwig say that (from left to right) Javier Vargas, Allan J. Perry, Tristian J. Swokowski, Micah J. Hammond, Christopher L. Ramirez, Christopher A. Hunter and Angelique Hunter all of Manitowoc along with Quintin Hollis of Milwaukee were sentenced in Eastern District of Wisconsin Federal Court in Green Bay to sentences ranging from 1 to 10 years on charges of Distributing heroin-fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Meanwhile, Anthony Martinez, Stephen Vice, and Steven Khail (left to right) all of Manitowoc, and Jabari Samuel of Milwaukee are awaiting sentencing ranging from 5 to 15 years on similar Federal charges for their involvement in drug distribution in Manitowoc.
Lt. Remiker tells us that these investigations date back from late 2020 through this year that have “high purity levels of meth that these defendants were using not just looking to support their own drug habits but also distributing large quantities (of drugs) throughout our community.”
He adds that Federal Investigators take on these cases based on the purity content and minimum seizure amounts.
Authorities emphasize that citizen awareness and involvement “are critical in eliminating drug use and distribution in Manitowoc and Manitowoc County.”
