Motorists in Eastern Wisconsin are noticing a significant spike in gas prices compared to last week.
According to the AAA Fuel Gauge Report, Manitowoc County’s average price per gallon of fuel rose 8 cents per gallon to $3.11, and that was the smallest rise in the area.
Sheboygan, Outagamie, and Brown Counties each reported a 9 cent per gallon jump to $3.09, $3.04, and $3.09 respectively, while Calumet and Door County motorists saw an 11 cent per gallon spike to $3.10 and $3.20 respectively.
The largest rise in price in the area belongs to Kewaunee County.
Their gas prices ballooned up 12 cents to an average of $3.12 per gallon.
The state average also rose, but not quite as much as in our area.
The price in the state rose 7 cents to $3.10, and the national average jumped 10 cents to $3.30.
