Bank First of Manitowoc broke ground last week on their new state-of-the-art Operations Center in the Manitowoc Industrial Park.
We spoke with the Chief Executive Officer of Bank First, Mike Molepske, who described the basic outlay of their new venture.
“We going to have a 13,000 square foot facility, which will house of 60 people, and we will be able to double that,” he explained. “It’s a nice 9-acre parcel, and will have ponds, and a little walking trail for our employees.”
Molepske said this is a day that has been years in the making.
“The Bank was formed in 1894 in Manitowoc with $50,000 in capital,” Molepske said. “Today we are a $3 billion bank, with 21 offices, serving 10 counties throughout Wisconsin….This operations center…is essential for our growth.”
Bank First’s CEO added that the people of Manitowoc County deserve all the credit.
“The highest credit scores are in Wisconsin, tied with Minnesota, 750 median credit score. The highest credit scores in Wisconsin, are here in Eastern Wisconsin,” he revealed. “We could have a better headquarters than being in Manitowoc Wisconsin.“
The local financial institution’s Operations Center will occupy the remaining space in the Industrial Park.
No timetable was given for when construction is expected to be completed.
