The President of the Helen Gajdys Reis and Lester Reis Endowment Fund Inc. has announced a major donation to the annual Coats For Kids Campaign. George Reis spoke with Seehafer News Friday and praised the organization’s 6-board of directors, especially the e fforts of two of them.
“Because of the efforts of Gloria Theis and Mary Reis, they purchased 150 new coats for kids, which will make a thousand new coats in the last 6-years.”
The coats will be donated to local residents through the annual campaign conducted by the Salvation Army.
“They were from funds that we had. Just yesterday, a lady came in with a $500 new check for us. And we kind of borrow, hopefully, from potentially new donors.”
Reis added, “The mission has been accomplished primarily because of the efforts of these 2 gals, Gloria and Mary.”
