Bail is set at $500 cash for a 36-year-old Manitowoc woman who’s accused of attempting to steal over $1500 in jewelry and other items from Walmart.
Stephanie J. Snyder is charged with Felony Retail Theft and Two Counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
Police were called to the local retailer about 6:30 PM last evening (Wednesday) where the Loss Prevention Team believed that they believed a woman (Snyder) was planning to steal some jewelry adding that they watched Snyder go throughout the store grabbing many items which overfilled her cart.
It was also noted that she took some jewelry out of its packaging putting them on before heading to the self-checkout.
There was proof that Snyder paid for around $11 with the estimated value of the unpaid merchandise totaling $1587. The lone condition of bail is that Snyder has “no contact” with Walmart.
She remains in the County Jail with an initial appearance scheduled for Monday at 1:30 p.m.
