A 48-year-old Manitowoc man is dead following a motorcycle accident yesterday in Mishicot Township.
Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig says a preliminary investigation indicates that Ryan Nagy was operating a motorcycle traveling on Highway 147 north of Sturm Road when he lost control performing a passing maneuver and entered a ditch where his bike overturned and was ejected.
Despite lifesaving measures performed on the scene, Nagy died with Coroner Curtis Green indicating the preliminary cause of death being from a high cervical spine fracture and other blunt force trauma injuries.
Toxicology reports are pending and the crash remains under investigation.
Assisting on scene were Mishicot Area Ambulance, Fire and Police Departments, Manitowoc County Coroner’s Office Joint Dispatch Center and Highway Department, Two Rivers Ambulance, Brown County Sheriff’s Office and PK’s Towing.
