The Manitowoc Public School District is in the process of conducting a survey of parents of children enrolled in the district.
Superintendent Mark Holzman tells Seehafer News the parent survey went out late last month and is due back on November 21st.
“We do try to reach out to our parents, staff, and students at different times throughout the year to get feedback on how things are going, what information are they looking for and what services do they most value,” Holzman explained. “If you have done that, thank you, if you have questions regarding the code you have, or how to go about doing that just contact your school and they can make sure they have the information for you.”
Holzman also said that a change has been made in the School District’s COVID-19 protocols.
“We found that we’ve done a nice job of mitigating the spread of COVID-19 from positive cases in our buildings, so we’ve paused contact tracing,” he said. “We’ve set a goal to end the requirement of wearing masks at the end of the first semester in January.”
The superintendent said they’ll continue to monitor the situation and stay in touch with the county health professionals in the district and statewide.
He added if there are opportunities to make changes before that time, they will.
