Donald D. “Donnie” Kaczrowski, a resident of Reedsville, WI passed away November 18, 2021 at Northwest Hospital in Vaparaiso, IN with his family by his side after a tragic semi-accident in Indiana. He was 69 years old.
Donnie was born on July 20, 1952 in New London, son of the late Lawrence & Adeline (Klarkowski) Kaczrowski. He graduated with the class of 1973 from St. Mary’s High School. On December 7, 1973 he married Cindy R. Fierst in Colorado Springs, CO. Donnie served two years in Fort Carson, CO in The United States Army.
After service, Donnie obtained his CDL and began a lifelong career in long haul Trucking. He had been in every state in the United States and all three territories of Canada. He was most recently employed at ABF and mentored numerous new truckers, teaching them dedication, perseverance, and profesionalism. He was so very close to his 2 million mile accident- free milestone. He loved to view the world through the windshield of his semi and met many unique individuals along the way.
Donnie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who worked hard to provide for his family. He was known for his contagious laugh, handle bar mustache, cowboy boots, and always having great jokes. He enjoyed coming off the road to indulge in home cooked meals prepared by his wife, Cindy. He also loved riding his Harley, traveling the world, spending time with his kids and grandkids, farming, westerns, and an ice cold bottle of beer.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Kaczrowski, Reedsville; two sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Kaczrowski and special friend Heidi, Manitowoc, David (Tanya) Kaczrowski, Mishicot; one daughter and son-in-law, Paula (Justin) Kautzer, Greenville; five grandchildren, Tanner, Olivia, Jack, Isabelle, and Hendrix; siblings, Theresa Rezachek, Larry (Jeanie) Kaczrowski, Evie (Al) Grenier, Alice Princl, and Kenny (Jolene) Kaczrowski; his very special cousin, Eugene (Joanne) Kaczrowski, Seymour; and special nephew, Jason Grenier, Two Rivers. Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Adeline and his sister, Rosie Counard.
