Last week, we told you about a brand-new inline speed skating team in Manitowoc, affectionately known as the Rollaire Raptors.
They competed in their first-ever competition over the weekend and walked away with numerous gold medals.
Among the skaters collecting first-place finishes were Madalyn Qualman, Raheem Butler, Aidan Centner, Angelina Junk, Dakota Backus, and Randy Backus, who actually earned two of them.
Also earning second-place finishes were Owen Garcia, Dakota Backus, Zakia Kalista, and Abbey Barnett, who was also named team captain on Sunday.
Madalyn Qualman also picked up a 3rd place finish.
Not a bad showing for the first competition for many of these young men and women.
