Thomas W. Brunner, age 79, a Manitowoc County resident, passed away Thursday morning, December 9, 2021 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, Newton. Presiding at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William Brunner (Tom’s nephew). Concelebrating the Mass will be the Rev. David Beaudry and Rev. Richard Klingeisen, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Alverno. The Mass will be livestreamed on the Lakeshore Family Funeral Home’s Facebook page beginning approximately 15 minutes prior to the service.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday evening, December 14, 2021 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, Newton, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00p.m. A prayer service will conclude the evening at 7:00 p.m. led by the Rev. David Beaudry. The visitation will continue Wednesday morning at church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
Survivors include his wife: Diane Brunner, Manitowoc; one son: Steve (Stephanie) Brunner, Whitelaw; four daughters: Michele Brunner, Manitowoc, Melissa (Doug) Brown, Topeka, KS, Stephanie (Jason) Polak, Oshkosh, Susan Brunner, California, MD; six grandchildren: Kimberly (Scott) Adkins, Robert (PFC-USMC), Brittany, Olivia Brunner, Owen and Reid Polak; one great grandchild: John Adkins; two step-great grandchildren: Steele and Aurora Adkins; two brothers: William (Rosie) Brunner, Joe (Amy) Brunner; two sisters: Patricia (Paul) Olmstead, Karen Howard; two brothers-in-law: Nick (Betty) Rieth, Peter Wagner, and one sister-in-law: Mary Ann (DuWayne) Buelow. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Nina Brunner; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Art and Irene Rieth; one sister: Mary Wagner; two brothers-in-law: Roger (Jan) Rieth, Kurt Howard; one nephew: Michael Brunner; and his Godson: Tim Brunner.
