Virginia A. Mott, age 74, of rural Manitowoc, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
The former Virginia Maertz was born on May 2, 1947 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Arnold and Hildagard (Bessert) Maertz. She grew up in the Reedsville area and was a 1965 graduate of Reedsville High School. On June 14, 1969 she married Glenn D. Mott at St. John-St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, Reedsville. He preceded her in death on May 7, 2018. This marriage was blessed one son, Kevin D. Mott. The couple worked on the family farm along with son, Kevin.
Virginia was a member of Rockwood Ev. Lutheran Church. She enjoyed collecting recipes, cake decorating, baking and cooking.
She is survived by her one son: Kevin D. Mott, rural Manitowoc; one sister-in-law: Sally Turczynski, Two Rivers; one brother and sister-in-law: Lyle (Joan) Mott, Chilton, nieces, nephews, great nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents: Arnold and Hildagard Maertz; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Harry and Elda Mott; her husband: Glenn D. Mott; one brother-in-law: Roy Turczynski; one nephew: Carey Jan Turczynski.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Rockwood Ev. Lutheran Church, 5805 County Hwy R, Manitowoc (Rockwood). The Rev. Bruce E. Schwark will officiate with burial to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.
