The strong winds yesterday caused some power outages around the area, and Wisconsin Public Service is continuing to address them.
According to Matt Cullen, the Senior Communications Specialist for WPS, more than 90,000 customers were affected by power outages yesterday as winds reached speeds of around 60 miles per hour.
Cullen explained that WPS has “encountered extensive damage across our network. Due to the widespread damage, we expect outages will last for some customers for multiple days in the hardest-hit areas.”
That being said, crews are continuing to work toward getting everyone their power back as quickly as possible.
Northern Wisconsin was the most affected by the outages, but there are still some being addressed in Brown and Door Counties.
