COVID patients will soon have a new way to talk with the Manitowoc County Health Department.
Starting next Tuesday (December 28th), The Manitowoc County Health Department announces they’ll be offering newly, positively diagnosed COVID 19 individuals the option to go to their website and fill out the “COVID 19 Case Intake Form” to receive guidance and other important information.
County Health Officer Stephanie Lambert says while they continue to prioritize contacting cases at highest risk, the high volume of cases may mean that some people won’t receive a phone call or may first be called several days after diagnosis.
She adds that this electronic option will increase opportunities for the community to work with the Health Department and get the information needed to keep themselves and others healthy.
The Health Department asks that anyone who tests positive with a home test also go to the website and complete the form.
You’ll receive a call within 24 hours of receipt, not from the Health Department, but they’ll remain available for anyone who wishes to speak in person.
Call 920-683-4155 or send an email to HealthDepartment@ManitowocCountyWI.gov for more information.
