Manitowoc police are asking for the public’s help in locating an armed robbery suspect who held up the Boost Mobile store at 1201 Washington Street late last week.
According to Detective David McCue, up to a $500.00 reward is being offered through Crime Stoppers for information about the male subject who committed the holdup just after 4:30 pm on Thursday afternoon.
Police say the suspect described as an African American entered the business, displayed a handgun, and he ordered the employee and a customer into an adjacent storage room that contained merchandise.
The man stole several iPhones and forced the employee to empty the cash register. The gunman fled the store on foot going west on Washington Street.
He’s said to be in his 30’s, about 5-feet-11-inches tall, a thin build, wearing gray shorts, reddish-colored shoes, a red and white Tommy Hilfiger brand jacket, and wearing a light-colored COVID fabric facemask.
