Three people sustained injuries as the result of several vehicles involved in a crash early this morning.
Lieutenant Larry Perronne of The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department says the County Emergency Communications Center received calls around 5:40 a.m. in reference to multiple vehicles involved in an accident on I-43 northbound near Rowe Road in The Town of Mosel.
The initial crash resulted in one person being ejected and transported to St. Vincent Hospital with possible life-threatening injuries, while a second victim weas removed with minor injuries and transported to a local hospital.
Meanwhile, as a sheriff’s Deputy arrived on scene, a second crash happened on I-43 southbound at mile marker 132, also in The Town of Mosel.
An initial investigation determined that a vehicle struck a pick-up from behind causing the truck to leave the roadway and rollover. One person was transported to a local hospital for back and neck pain.
The identities of those involved are not being released at this time as both accidents remain under investigation.
