Bail is set at $5000 recognizance for a 49-year-old Manitowoc man after he allegedly struck his child while drunk. Robert J. Lombardo is charged with Disorderly Conduct and Physical Abuse of a child.
Police say that Lombardo’s wife told them she went to the garage and pulled up home security footage when the dogs started barking then witnessed her husband (Lombardo) swing at the child. The victim told officers that their father was yelling about being disrespectful then pushed them into a closet hitting them multiple times. He was taken into custody after police saw the surveillance footage of the alleged crime without further incident.
Conditions of bail are that Lombardo have “no contact” with the victim and maintain “absolute sobriety”. His initial appearance is scheduled for February 21st at 1:30 p.m.
