A Manitowoc man will be spending some time in federal prison after being found guilty in a drug distribution case.
According to Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig and Lieutenant Dave Remiker, Stephen S. Vice Jr was sentenced to 7 years in federal prison followed by 7 years of extended supervision by U.S. District Judge William C. Geiesbach.
Vice was arrested last year after he was found with 27 grams of fentanyl and 120 grams of methamphetamine in a Two Rivers hotel.
The two County authorities stated that “During the sentencing hearing… Judge Griesbach noted the serious nature of the offenses and highlighted that despite Vice’s lengthy criminal record, he has repeatedly received lenient sentences in the past,” and that he hoped the “lengthy sentence” would deter others from repeating Vice’s actions.
