The Friends of Two Rivers Snowfest have announced this year’s dates and a majority of the entertainment lineup.
The fun starts in Two Rivers on Friday, July 22, and will continue through the weekend.
Some of the musical acts include Eight Second Ride, 33 RPM, the Nix, Dirty Deuce, The Pineapple Hunks and Smart Mouth.
Tony Sachse, one of the organizers of the event, says this year’s festival will also have a new twist. “It’s gonna be a little bit different than what it was last year in that it’s gonna be in Neshotah Park and not spread out over two parks.”
The new festival layout is designed for maximum enjoyment between the two stages, with Sachse adding, “One act will finish playing, the other act will start, so there’s always music going on in the park. The nice part of it is really that the way the park will be laid out…”
He elaborated, “It’s probably going to be about a football field’s worth of a walk between these two stages. You’re going to very quickly go from one right to the next, stop at our food court on the way through. Grab a beer, grab some food, go hang out and just watch some music.”
The Snowfest parade will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, and the festival is not just about music. In fact, there’s something for all ages.
“Jake’s Rides, our carnival operator that was there last year is bring back a bigger and wider variety of rides that he had last year.” Kids are included on the fun, “We’re going to have an expanded kids’ area with a lot more kids entertainment, with a lot of really cool games for the entire family.”
