The #2 seed Roncalli Jets topped the #1 seed Novas of the Milwaukee Academy of Science to secure the WIAA Division 4 boys basketball championship.
Roncalli secured the program’s second-ever Gold Ball by a score of 55-45.
Saturday’s championship final was a low-scoring affair for Milwaukee Academy of Science, compared to the 86 points they scored in their Thursday semifinal win against #4 seed Cameron.
Fans of the Jets in the Kohl Center in Madison made their excitement seen and heard as the game dwindled down. Every ounce of momentum was in Roncalli’s direction in the second half as the team held a steady lead throughout, before securing their win as the final horn sounded.
