The first peregrine falcon egg of the season has been laid at a Wisconsin power plant.
The falcon couple known as Michael and Essity are nesting again at the Oak Creek Power Plant.
Parent company We Energies says the mating pair has been nesting there for three seasons.
The utility, along with Wisconsin Public Service, has been host to the hatching of 421 peregrine falcon chicks since the early 19-90’s.
More eggs should be laid at all four of the system’s nest boxes over the next few days.
