The City of Manitowoc has announced that Halvorsen Dog Park is temporarily closed.
In a Wednesday afternoon release, the city noted that the closure has taken place effective immediately.
Director of Public Infrastructure Dan Koski anticipates the park to be closed for a few weeks to dry out. The time will also help protect the turf while preventing mud pits and longer closures later in the year.
The park’s reopening will be weather-dependent.
