The Boys and Girls Club of Manitowoc County quietly opened its doors to children on February 7, but they are ready for the public to take a look at the facilities.
A tour will be offered on April 6 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Staff will be on-hand to discuss what the club has to offer the community, as well as to answer questions.
The club is located at 3651 Dewey Street in Manitowoc. Inside the facility, children are able to utilize multiple learning centers, art room, STEM lab, game center, café, gymnasium with basketball hoops and more.
After-school services are currently available to the area’s youngest residents, ages 6 to 12, with weekday hours of 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Extended hours are offered when Manitowoc Public School District schools are closed.
Older kids aged 13 to 18 will also be participants eventually, but parents with interested teens should contact the club about activities planned specifically for that age group. Parents of kids in that age group are also invited to be a part of the April 6 tour.
Anyone interested in taking part in the tour should e-mail Callie Brice at cbrice@bgcmanitowoccounty.org or call (920) 470-8063.
