Manitowoc County is making an effort to expand COVID-19 vaccination opportunities to area children.
The County Health Department announced on Monday that it is expanding opportunities at the Health Department to include children ages five and older.
Beginning April 1, anyone aged five or older can simply walk into the department office for a free COVID-19 vaccine or booster.
Manitowoc County Health Officer Stephanie Lambert notes in a press release that those who received a Moderna or Pfizer vaccine more than five months ago are recommended to receive a booster shot. The same is true for those who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine more than two months ago.
No subsequent booster is recommended, at this time, to those who have already received a booster shot.
The Health Department office is located at 1028 S. 9th St. and is open on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
