The Wisconsin Justice Department’s Division of Criminal Investigation is handling a case involving the shooting deaths of two people.
A deputy with the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office exchanged fire with a man after he allegedly shot a woman.
The deputy was responding to a domestic disturbance report just before 4:00 p-m Friday.
The deputy saw the man shoot the woman as he arrived at the storage unit in the Town of Richmond.
Both the armed man and the woman died there.
The deputy has been placed on administrative leave.
No names have been released.
