A former Milwaukee police officer has resigned and pleaded no contest to a fraud charge.
32-year-old Patricia Swayka denied any intent to commit a theft when she was being interviewed.
She has been ordered to repay $3,755 in tuition reimbursement that she wasn’t eligible to receive.
An anonymous email last year to Milwaukee’s fraud and abuse hotline accused her of cheating the system.
Swayka accepted a deferred prosecution agreement.
