The City of Manitowoc has announced that the 2022 Spring Clean Up has been delayed a week due to weather conditions.
Director Of Public Infrastructure Dan Koski says that brush pick-up for properties south of the Manitowoc River begins Monday, April 11th. Pick-up north of the river starts April 18th.
Yard waste will be picked up on properties south of the Manitowoc River beginning April 25th, then the following week, beginning May 2nd, for properties north of the river.
Brush consists of clean, woody, vegetative material not to exceed 5′ in length or 6″ in diameter and bulbs or shrubs without root bulbs. Yard waste consists of leaves, thatch, yard and garden waste.
Bagged or mixed materials or materials on uninhabited or vacant lots won’t be picked up.
All brush and yard waste must be out on the terrace, between the sidewalk and curb, by 7:00 a.m. on the Monday of your pick-up. No parking will be allowed on city streets from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. during the week of pick-up. Violators will be ticketed.
Crews will go through each area only once and dates are subject to change based on weather. For more information, call (920) 686-6550, log onto Manitowoc.org or checkout the City of Manitowoc’s Facebook page.
