The Two Rivers Public School District is asking for the public’s approval for a $38.7 million referendum.
The money will go toward expanding L.B. Clarke Middle School and to update the safety and technology needs of the district.
Superintendent Diane Johnson presented the proposal to the City Council earlier in March, where she explained that the expansion would give the school more classrooms and a new physical education area.
As for what would happen to the current phys ed area, it would be converted into some additional cafeteria space.
If you would like to learn more about the proposal, you can attend one of several presentations. One will take place on April 12th at the Lester Public Library, another will take place at the Westshore Sportsman’s Club on April 27th.
The final presentation will be held at the Fire Department on June 21st.
