The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office reports two people were seriously injured in a mobile home explosion Sunday morning.
Emergency responders were called to the Town of Niagara at about 8:50 a.m.
Reports came in to dispatchers from people living several miles away.
Sheriff Jerry Sauve says a man and woman in their 50s from Milwaukee were inside their seasonal residence at the time of the blast.
No names have been released.
The victims have been hospitalized with severe burns.
The man told authorities he was trying to light the propane furnace.
