As is tradition, the Manitowoc Police Department will once again be holding a bicycle and property auction in May.
Each year the department collects hundreds of items that have been abandoned around the city, and after doing their due diligence to return them to their rightful owners, the department auctions them off to the public.
The most common item that is left abandoned are bikes, which number in the hundreds.
There will also be a wide variety of other items, which in the past has included things such as deer stands and canoes.
The auction will be held in the Public Safety Building in Manitowoc on May 14th, with the doors opening at 8:00 a.m. and the auction kicking off at 9:00 a.m.
Everything must be paid for in full on the day of the auction, and only cash and Wisconsin checks will be accepted.
