Lakeshore Technical College received a major donation last week to help with its expansion and the creation of a new Center for Health Care Excellence.
Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network, Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital, and Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity donated $1 million to the school, which is the largest donation the Lakeshore Foundation has received in its 46-year history.
The entire project is expected to cost around $5 million and is set to break ground next year.
The new center will be a 16,000 square foot addition and remodel to the existing Cleveland campus benefiting 1,500 health care and emergency services students and professionals who will train annually in the new facility.
LTC President Dr. Paul Carlsen said that this partnership will “drive the modernization of our facilities and assist us in significantly increasing the number of health care students we graduate annually.”
