Lakeshore Technical College has been given a grant of $337,000 to support education focused on the production and storage of renewable energy.
The Expanding Advanced Renewable Energy Technician Education in a Technical College grant came from the National Science Foundation and is the first awarded directly to the college by the NSF.
The grant will support collaboration between LTC’s Wind Energy Technology Instructor Justin Barret and renewal energy business leaders to identify current and future educational needs among employers locally.
It will be awarded over a three-year period
