The American Red Cross reminds us that when schools let out for summer and families set off on vacation, the organization typically sees a decline in donors.
With that in mind, the Green Bay chapter says it’s critically important that donors make an appointment to give now in order to maintain a stable blood supply in the coming months.
There are two area blood donation opportunities in Manitowoc County within the next month.
The first one is at Kiel High School next Monday, May 16th from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Another will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Mishicot on Thursday, June 9th between the hours of 1:00 and 6:00 p.m.
Donors can help save a life in just an hour of their time.
To schedule an appointment to donate blood, platelets, or plasma, you can download the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit RedCrossBlood.org or call 1-800 RED CROSS.
