Nearly 800 students received their diplomas or certificates of achievement from Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland Saturday.
There were a few new enhancements to this year’s celebration held in Centennial Hall, including the addition of students, who were honored earlier, completing their General Education Development or GED certificate, High School Equivalency Diploma, Registered Apprenticeship, or Youth Apprenticeship.
Also, anyone from the Lakeshore staff with a family member who graduated had the opportunity to present them with their diploma on stage.
Nearly 600 students received their Associate degrees.
LTC President Dr.Paul Carlsen said of the program, “Our students have demonstrated the incredible ability to adapt as they preserved toward their educational goals, not letting anything get in the way of their futures. They are an inspiration to everyone at our college. We are confident they will achieve success in their careers and future learning efforts.”
