Capitol Civic Centre volunteers were honored this past week with dinner, catered by Late’s Barbeque, along with awards, door prizes, and fun.
Norb Vogt was honored as the 2022-’23 Volunteer of the Year.
Splitting his time as an usher and assisting in the Box Office, Vogt amassed 523 hours of service to the “Jewel of the Lakeshore.”
But that’s not an anomaly.
Norb has historically provided hundreds of hours of service each season for the over 30 years he’s been a volunteer.
Vogt will be celebrated along with future award-winners on a plaque in the Capitol lobby.
In addition, House managers Sonja Devore, Roger Mettleman, and Alice Weyenberg were acknowledged for their many years of dedication and service to their positions at the Capitol.
Special honorees were Jerry Stodola and Ken Petersen, in security; Dianne Stewart and Kim Wimmer, bartenders; and ushers Diane Cisler and Rita Klein.
