A description of a person of interest missing in Lake Michigan since early this afternoon has been released.
They are looking for a Hispanic male, about six feet all weighing 160 pounds, last seen wearing an orange shirt and backpack about 40 yards offshore of The Manitowoc Harbor.
The Manitowoc Police Department received the initial call about 12:45 this afternoon.
The specific search centers south of The Manitowoc Marina near and behind The Baymont Hotel and The Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA.
Agencies remaining on scene include Manitowoc Fire and Rescue with a Green Bay Dive team in route. Sonar lights are also being brought in when darkness approaches.
All marine traffic has been given all clear along with the S.S. Badger, which is now in route to Ludington Michigan after being in port most of the afternoon
