A 34-year-old Manitowoc woman who’s a teacher in the Two Rivers school District and accused of having sexual contact with a student, made her initial court appearance yesterday.
Rebecca Kilps is charged with three counts of Sexual Assault of a child by a School Instructional Staff Person. She was originally scheduled to appear May 31st, but her attorney asked for a delay, seeking a bail modification of a condition that prohibited Kilps to have “no contact” with anyone under the age of 18 so she could see her son, which was granted by the court.
Kilps was arrested May 24th.
Two Rivers Police say that they had received information about a teacher (KILPS) had engaged in sexual contact with a student and initiated an investigation which led to her arrest
She remains free on $10,000 cash bail with a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 22nd at 9 a.m.
