Bail is set at $7000 cash for a 32-year-old Manitowoc man facing charges after firing gunshots into the air early Tuesday morning.
Eleazar Camacho-Perez is charged with Recklessly Endangering Safety and Disorderly Conduct with a Domestic Violence Enhancer.
Police responded to a call in the 2000 block of Johnston Drive and were informed by the caller that Camacho-Perez was attempting to break into the home and that he had a gun and was firing shots outside the residence.
Camacho-Perez eventually gained entrance with the caller remaining on the line describing him to authorities.
Residents from neighboring homes were temporarily displaced as the Manitowoc County SWAT Team was called in to assist in the removal of the two adults and their children safe from the home. Camacho-Perez was taken into custody and no one was injured.
Conditions of bail are that Camacho- Perez have “no contact” with the victims or the residence, not possess any firearms or ammunition, maintain “absolute sobriety” and provide written proof to the court of an address of where he lives within 48 hours of release. He remains in the County Jail with his initial appearance scheduled for June 13th at 1:30.
