The Manitowoc Public School District Board of Education has named James Feil as Interim School Superintendent to replace Mark Holzman, who’s leaving after seven years after accepting a similar position in Janesville.
Feil currently serves as The Superintendent in Montello and has also served as Superintendent of Traverse City Area Public Schools in Traverse City Michigan and President of Urban Day School in Milwaukee.
The Board of Education, working in consort with search firm Exec Connect, interviewed six candidates before offering the position to Feil.
In a news release to Seehafer News Board President Stacy Soeldner says “We are excited to have Jim joining our team.”
She adds “He will be able to lead Manitowoc Public Schools during this upcoming school year.”
Feil will serve a one year-term as the search continues for a permanent superintendent. The Board will meet Tuesday to finalize details of the contract with Feil’s first date being July 1st.
