Four men have been arrested in connection with an attempted check fraud in Luxemburg.
Kewaunee County Sheriff Matt Joski says his department was contacted just before 2:30 p.m. last Thursday (June 30th) with a report of a man trying to cash a fraudulent check at the Bank of Luxemburg – Dykesville location.
The man left before officers arrived, but was soon reported to be at the same bank’s Casco location.
He left that branch and was picked up by three men waiting for him in a nearby SUV.
The vehicle was stopped by the Sheriff’s department and a Wisconsin State Patrol officer.
The four had allegedly been attempting similar actions at several locations in the state over the past two weeks.
Now under arrest are 63-year-old Raymond Crowe of Green Bay, 30-year-old Laquentin Kerbo of Hampton, Georgia, 30-year-old Dennis Nelson of Atlanta, Georgia, and 34-year-old Terrance Austin of Hampton Georgia.
