Human remains have been found in the Wisconsin River at a dam near Port Edwards.
Maintenance workers made the discovery of the skeletal remains Tuesday at about 11:30 a.m.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office issued a news release saying the remains are being recovered and a crime scene team is checking for evidence.
People have been asked to stay away from the area while the scene is processed.
Forensic investigators will try to make an identification.
